A number of latest work by Raleigh, North Carolina-based artist Alberto Ortega (beforehand featured right here). Portray from miniature units that he builds as references, Ortega recreates scenes paying homage to Fifties suburbia. With management over the viewpoint, lighting, and placement of each component in his fashions, Ortega takes on a job not not like a movie director, and the ensuing work have a powerful cinematic really feel.
“As an immigrant to the US, I’m intrigued by American suburban life as depicted in movie, literature, and visible artwork,” he explains. “Via these pictures of American houses, buildings, and neighborhoods, I search to painting society and a few of its contradictions. These scenes symbolize hopes and goals, the specter of their failure, and alienation.”
