With a background in graphic design and illustration, New Delhi-based artist Aman Khanna has at all times had a knack for expressing human feelings and experiences in his quirky, playful personalities. Over time, he yearned to construct one thing three-dimensional along with his palms as a strategy to complement his predominantly digital, two-dimensional strategy of graphic design. A possibility to discover this new route arose when he attended the 2013 Pictoplasma Academy, an annual character artwork convention in Berlin.
Khanna experimented with shaping clay for the primary time as he ready for the Pictoplasma group present, and he hasn’t regarded again. “I started to create small clay sculptures that have been impressed by human emotions, feelings, and interactions,” he says, sharing that he enjoys working with the fabric due to its historic historical past and connection to the earth. “The truth that it may be moulded into any form or kind is fascinating to me.”
The figures, which he calls Claymen, painting a spectrum of expressions impressed by the intricacies of the human situation.
