Boston College Faculty of Visible Arts is proud to current the 2022 MFA Thesis Exhibitions, that includes the work of graduating MFA candidates in Graphic Design, Portray, and Sculpture. Two showcases will spotlight their work in Boston College Artwork Galleries’s Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery.
MFA Thesis Exhibitions kicked off with the MFA Portray and Sculpture showcase, which is open by way of April 2. The MFA Graphic Design exhibition shall be on view April 13–29 with a gap reception at Stone Gallery on April 15 from 5 to 7pm.

This exceptional group of scholars began their MFA journey within the Fall of 2020, optimistic that the confusion and uncertainty of a worldwide pandemic would quickly fade. Though these hopes proved false, these artists persevered of their studios and courses and continued to study, broaden, make, break, scream, cry, chuckle, sigh, and surprise what it even means to make artwork on this second. After the tumult and uncertainty of the previous two years, they understand that they’re re-entering a panorama that has essentially shifted.
As their school, it has been an honor to be part of their journey and aware of their particular person tales. The works on this exhibition level to the place every artist began practically two years in the past, to a degree of arrival in the present day, and to the place they might be heading. The power of their efforts suggests an awesome potential that fills us with hope.
