Gia Coppola to Direct Boy Band Documentary Superfans: Screaming. Crying. Throwing Up.

Gia Coppola is ready to direct a forthcoming documentary titled superfans: screaming. crying. throwing up., as Deadline experiences. The challenge is predicated on the 2020 ebook Bigger Than Life: A Historical past of Boy Bands from NKOTB to BTS by journalist and Pitchfork contributor Maria Sherman. Coppola will co-produce the challenge together with Jason Bateman’s manufacturing firm Mixture Movies.

Coppola’s final feature-length challenge was 2020’s Mainstream, a comedy-drama starring Andrew Garfield and Maya Hawke. Previous to that, she’d directed a handful of music movies: Yves Tumor’s “Applaud,” Blood Orange’s “You’re Not Good Sufficient,” plus Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Minimize to the Feeling” and “Your Kind.”
