Hugh Grant has mocked Drew Barrymore’s “horrendous” singing within the romantic comedy Music & Lyrics.

Grant co-starred with Barrymore within the 2007 movie as washed-up pop star Alex Fletcher, who’s employed to write down music for a preferred teenage artist (Haley Bennett). Realising that Sophie (Barrymore), the girl who waters his crops, has a means with phrases, Alex enlists her assist in creating new songs.

Throughout the movie, the pair repeatedly sing the songs as they’re writing, and Grant mentioned that they each required auto-tuning.

He replied: “Sure, nicely I do, however I’m auto-tuned past perception.

“Truly, that’s not true – I’m auto-tuned a bit, however not as a lot as some,” he continued, including: “Drew Barrymore was in that movie with me and I don’t suppose she’d thoughts me saying her singing is simply horrendous.

“I’ve heard canines bark higher than she sings,” he quipped.

The actor mentioned Barrymore’s voice improved “as soon as they tuned her up” and that “she sounded means higher than me ’trigger she’s received coronary heart and voice and rock ‘n’ roll.”
