“The Crow is gorgeous, darkish, poetic and typically disturbing,” Sanders mentioned in a press release. “It’s a story of affection, loss, grief and revenge. It’s a nice honor to revisit James O’Barr’s iconic comedian and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of as we speak.”
Sanders, whose credit embrace Snow White and the Huntsman and Ghost within the Shell, will work off a script written by Zach Baylin (King Richard).
The Crow first arrived as a comic book ebook by James O’Barr in 1989. Within the story, Eric Draven and his fiancée, Shelly, are murdered by a gang after their automobile breaks down. Draven is resurrected by a crow and seeks vengeance on the gang, stalking and killing every member with the crow as his information. The story was immortalized in Alex Proyas’s 1994 movie starring Brandon Lee, who was tragically killed on set by a prop gun.
