A phenomenal sequence by Houston-based photographer Joseph Bui. Drawn to tales that discover the relationships between individuals, group, id, tradition and the theme of “dwelling,” Bui’s work is knowledgeable by the personalities and views of his topics in addition to their relationship to the environments they inhabit. This has led him to engaged on tasks in regards to the Queer Neighborhood in Waterville, Maine and, most lately, his family in Houston, Texas. The picture e book and sequence, “I Love You. I Miss You. Have A Good Day.,” is titled after the quick phrase Bui’s mom would say to him earlier than she left for work — phrases which have now turn out to be one thing of a prayer for him.
