Kanye West has pulled out of Coachella, Selection and TMZ report. His representatives haven’t but provided a purpose for his withdrawal, nor has the competition commented. West was resulting from headline the competition on Sunday April 17 and 24.
Whereas the explanations stay unclear, West urged in February that he would cancel his set if fellow headliner Billie Eilish didn’t apologize to Travis Scott. West believed that Eilish had insulted Scott—whom West supposed to carry out at Coachella—when she paused a present to assist a fan, not lengthy after the Astroworld tragedy. Eilish stated she “actually by no means stated a factor about travis” and “was simply serving to a fan.”
Pitchfork has emailed representatives for West and Coachella.
Along with Friday evening headliner Harry Types, Selection notes that the unique Coachella poster payments Swedish Home Mafia in an unspecified slot—notably, in headliner-sized font. The sold-out competition stirred controversy in February with plans to elevate COVID-19 guidelines.
