South-Bucks, U.Okay.-based photographer Barry Webb favors the shimmering, gelatinous, and iridescent growths that sprout from decaying wooden and plant materials. His macro photographs enlarge the usually imperceptible particulars of small slime molds, capturing the specimen’s distinctive traits with hanging element. From the globular heads of the Comatricha nigra to the spongey types of the Arcyria denudata, every picture unveils the range and intricacies of among the world’s tiniest organisms.
