Maggie Rogers unveils particulars of recent album, ‘Give up’

Maggie Rogers has as we speak (March 30) unveiled particulars of her new album, ‘Give up’.
The 12-track album will arrive on July 29 through Polydor and followers can pre-order the album right here.
The document, which was co-produced by Child Harpoon and Rogers, is the follow-up to, ‘Heard It In A Previous Life‘, which was launched in 2019. Her final single launch was ‘Love You For A Lengthy Time‘ from the identical 12 months.
A press release says the album “totally captures the frenetic depth of the final two years of her life, bringing her bracing honesty to tales of anger and peace and self-salvation, transcendence by intercourse and freedom by letting go.

Within the clip, Rogers delivers a poem which reads: “After I’m offended or in love, I really feel it in my enamel. / Unusual harmonic buzzing. / Cuts by my fingers. / My jaw. /My breast bone. /For a very long time I fought it. Resisted. Held up my fists.”

NME‘s four-star overview of her debut album praised the “natural, earthy vibe that permeates” by its songs, writing that Rogers pens “empowering, trustworthy songs about falling hopelessly in love, getting your coronary heart damaged and discovering your self-worth.
“Her debut album is the work of an idiosyncratic expertise,” the overview concluded.
