A number of latest work by London-based Korean artist Minyoung Choi. Hovering between truth and fiction, surreal and unbelievable, Choi oscillates between being a witness and being the topic, drawing inspiration from her private reminiscences, creativeness, and goals. The characters she depicts exist in relation to at least one one other as a collection of meditations on a specific theme or idea. Typically bringing collectively unlikely or unfamiliar sources and parts, she deliberately creates coherent areas with cautious consideration paid to composition. “By portray, I expertise and improve the surreal and magic of the world,” she says. “A way of surprise, playfulness, and contemplation permeates my works, embodying my awe for the thriller of nature and the instinctive bond between animals and people.”
