Tears For Fears pull out of headline performance at Lytham Festival

Tears For Fears have been pressured to tug out of their headline efficiency at Lytham Pageant tonight.

It comes after Curt Smith injured his rib main the duo to cancel their headline slot on the final minute.

In a press release, the band wrote: “It’s with honest apologies that we should cancel tonight’s efficiency at Lytham Pageant. Curt has sadly injured his rib and is unable to carry out this night.”

They added: “We’re so sorry to everybody who deliberate to be on the pageant and hope to see you quickly.”

Organisers introduced that Alison Moyet and help Natalie Imbruglia had been “able to take the stage so we are able to take pleasure in a celebration.”

They added that “all ticket holders will obtain a full refund for tonight’s present.”

Final evening (July 8), The Strokes headlined Lancashire’s Lytham Pageant, and through their set, they invited a lady from the gang to sing lead vocals on ‘Ode To The Mets’.

The lady was noticed by frontman Julian Casablancas after noticing she was holding up an indication that learn, “CAN I SING ‘ODE TO THE METS’ WITH YOU”.

Casablancas welcomed her up and quipped: “I’m gonna be peeved if she sings it higher than I do.”

The lady then sung in Casablancas’ place for all six minutes of ‘Ode To The Mets’ (which initially appeared on The Strokes’ 2020 album, ‘The New Irregular’). You’ll be able to see the efficiency right here.

The Strokes are at present on tour in help of ‘The New Irregular’. Reviewing their set on the Primavera Sound pageant in Barcelona, NME’s Ella Kemp mentioned Casablancas carried out with “feverish power”, and mentioned that he did deal with followers to “small discuss and jokes and frequent rambles”.
