Thom Yorke confirms new Smile music is within the works
Thom Yorke has confirmed that Radiohead aspect challenge The Smile have some new music within the works.
The band, which options Yorke, his Radiohead bandmate Johnny Greenwood, and Sons Of Kemet’s Tom Skinner, launched their debut album, ‘A Gentle For Attracting Consideration’, in Might. In a four-star evaluate, NME‘s Andrew Trendell described it as “showcasing a melodic, extra energetic and free-flowing iteration of the Yorke-Greenwood partnership”.
Final month, The Smile carried out at Primavera Sound as a part of the Barcelona pageant’s second weekend. Throughout their set – which Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas referred to as the “finest present I’ve seen in years” – they carried out a brand new tune referred to as ‘Colors Fly’.
At the moment (July 10), the band shared a clip of them performing the tune on the pageant. Yorke then quote tweeted the efficiency, telling followers that it was a “work in progress” whereas including that there are another new songs within the works.

The Smile lately introduced their first-ever tour of North America for November and December 2022, in help of their debut album.
The band will start their debut tour throughout the continent in Windfall, Rhode Island on November 14. The tour will then take them throughout the US and Canada, together with two New York dates at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre and the town’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
