‘West Facet Story’ star Rachel Zegler invited to the Oscars after backlash
Rachel Zegler has reportedly been invited to be a presenter on the 2022 Oscars after initially not receiving an invitation.
The actor, who performed Maria in Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Facet Story, mentioned she “wasn’t invited” to the Oscars on Instagram final week in response to a fan.

After the snub precipitated anger on-line, She wrote: “I hope some last-minute miracle happens and I can rejoice our movie in individual however hey, that’s the way it goes generally, I assume. Thanks for all of the shock and outrage – I’m dissatisfied, too. However that’s okay. So pleased with our film.”
In response to The Hollywood Reporter, Zegler has since been invited to be a presenter on the ceremony on Sunday, March 27. It’s believed the filming schedule for Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White, which Zegler is presently capturing in London, is being rearranged to permit the actor to attend.
NME has reached out to Zegler’s reps for remark.
Following the outcry from many followers and celebrities, Zegler thanked everybody for his or her help on Twitter.
